I’ve known for quite a while that the Christian faith in America has been under attack. What I didn’t realize is that so many have fallen from the faith.
The above religiosity index shows the changes in religious activity in the United States. Religion News Service This image is available for Web publication. For questions, contact Sally Morrow.
Tobin Grant, a blogger for Religion News Service at Corner of Church and State reported, “Religiosity in the United States is in the midst of what might be called ‘The Great Decline.’ Previous declines in religion pale in comparison. Over the past fifteen years, the drop in religiosity has been twice as great as the decline of the 1960s and 1970s.”
This saddens and angers me greatly! I’m saddened that such a great number of people are unaware of the truth and hope they need. It angers me that Christians haven’t done a better job at sharing their faith. Jesus specifically instructed His followers to go and make disciples of all nations baptizing in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, and to teach them to observe all things that He commanded…” (Matthew 28:19-20a).
Just based on the numbers, it’s likely that the vast majority of Christians who reads this post have not personally led a person to faith. I know it’s difficult to do, but Jesus commanded us to do it. I can help.
If you represent or can recommend me to your church or organization, I can come present an outreach event that will share the Gospel Message and provide resources to enhance the local work of the church/organization, extend their community influence, and increase their membership. There are a number of different ways this can be done with little to no cost to the hosting church/organization. Don’t delay. Understand the pressing urgency and eternal importance of leading others to believe in and receive Jesus as their personal Savior. Contact me and let’s talk about how I can come and present a program in your community.
