Facts don’t lie, people do.
The President and media continue to claim that the economy and job markets are improved. Just recently President Obama made his appearance in North Carolina to declare our financial progress and convince us that all is well. In reality he’s trying to do damage control. Why would he need to tour the country garnering optimism if all is well?
Regardless of what political party or individuals are said to have caused the problems, it is always incumbent upon the current Administration to bring solutions. It is not a party issue–it is a cause and effect reality. Yet the lies and deception that’s being perpetrated upon Americans are attempts to keep us emotionally reliant upon government while it slowly and intentionally is draining us of all ability and strength, ultimately intending to make us totally dependent on government.
Once the individual men and women we elected to serve us, determined to serve themselves instead, did all of our freedoms become at risk. That’s no exaggeration.
The $787 stimulus money paid to the very institutions that knowingly permitted under qualified people to secure home loans they could not afford and that promised to create or save 3.5 million new “shovel-ready” jobs by 2011 according to the current Administration, has failed. In fact, according to the US Bureau of Labor, as of May 2011 the more realistic under and unemployment rate is 15.8%–not the 9.1% the media touts. There’s been some shoveling alright, but not the type that digs up jobs.
The 14.3 TRILLION debt is not a “government” debt, is the debt of each and every American taxpayer. As of today, each and every tax paying citizen owes a debt of $400,000.00 just to pay the existing debt which is growing with interest daily. That doesn’t include the cost of operating our country, states, counties and cities in the present, that’s strictly existing debt. And no Administration in my lifetime with the exception of one has had the wherewithal to honorably serve in the best interest of the nation and the people.
Yes, healthcare costs have increased horribly from 2001 from to 2010, and they are projected to increase by 9% more in 2011. And worse, by 2014 because of the increased cost burden to be imposed on employers, 30% of them are planning on cutting health insurance benefit entirely. Obamacare is not making healthcare more affordable, it’s making it more expensive for the common citizen. Career politicians, whose retirement income is certain, paid by tax dollars earned by hard working Americans, and self appointed media elite have done and continue to exclude themselves from the burdens you and I suffer now and will in the future, as they opt out of Ombamacare.
Bill Gross of the Pimco investment firm, told to CNBC that we are in worse than the financial shape than Greece when the public debt is added to all the money owed to cover future liabilities in entitlement programs. We have a $14.3 TRILLION dollar deficit and the government continues to spend our tax dollars. The only money the government has is what you and I have earned and remit in taxes.
On the June 12th broadcast of “Meet the Press,” host David Gregory confronted DNC Chairwoman Debbie Waserman Schultz with the cold hard facts–unemployment is up 25% since President Obama’s inauguration day, the debt is up 35%, a gallon of gas is up 104% and 59% of Americans disapprove of the current Administration’s handling of the economy. How did Wasserman Schultz reply? “We were able to, under President Obama’s leadership, turn this economy around.” True only if she means from not so great to worse!
Our national debt is the highest ever; government spending is highest ever; unemployment and home foreclosures are the highest ever. All is not well no matter what the government and mainstream media say. We are being lied to by the very ones we should be able to trust. This is insult upon injury to the greatest extent. We have been injured but we are not dead. We have laid down our power, trusting in others. Now we must pick it up again, uniting among ourselves. This still is a government “for and by the people”. It’s time for the people to act.
We can solve our national and individual problems. Here are some ideas how:
> Contact your Congressman and Senator(s) and tell them you expect them to take responsibility for the solution, not to defend their political party or careers. We voted them in and we can vote them out.
> Seriously consider becoming self-employed. Identify your skills and education and put yourself to work. There are some very good business opportunities. Do your due diligence, because not all are formidable. Find out if you need a business license, reseller’s permit, or if you must file a DBA and other such efforts to quickly establish your new career with your own business.
> If you can go it solo, then use a company such as Legal Zoom and get your business incorporated. Hang out your shingle and make it happen. While both require considerable effort, working to find new clients for your self is a lot more enjoyable than applying to work for someone else.
> Get good counsel. Self-employment has additional tax burdens you’ll want to know about and prepare for. An Accountant and Attorney and others who have started a business would be helpful. Can’t afford professional help? True friends will help. Ask.
> Don’t expect to see results overnight. Plan carefully. Adjust your plan as needed. Use common sense. Continue on without quitting. Dig deep within yourself, seeking God’s wisdom and direction.
> Pay attention to the real news. Stay informed and vote. Your vote has more power than you realize.
> Encourage others to do the same and together we can change our own plight, and that of our nation.
